A fitness game for Android & iOS
Your body is the controller.
Flapfit is a fitness game for your phone. Push-ups fly the bird, squats duck the gates: five arcade games you play with your whole body. Prop up your phone, move, and the camera counts every rep, on the phone.
- No sign-up
- No equipment
- Works offline
- One free set a day
A half rep
does not count.
The game only answers when you finish the movement. Go all the way down and the bird dives; push all the way up and it climbs. Stop short and it hits the pillar. Form is the rule, not a suggestion, so there is no way to cheat a level.
-
Chest downThe bird goes down with you.
-
Push upIt climbs. That is one rep and one flap.
-
Cut it shortNothing happens, and the pillar is coming.
Five games.
One body.
No weights, no mat, no watch. A phone propped against a wall or lying on the floor is the whole kit.

Prop it up.
Get moving.
Place the phone
On the floor in front of you for push-ups and shoulder taps. Against a wall, with room to stand back, for the other three.
Get into position
The game checks it can see what it needs to judge, then counts you in. No account, no questionnaire.
Play one set
A set takes a couple of minutes and lasts until the game beats you. Every rep you finish moves the game.
One set a day.
Do not break it.
Finish a set and your streak goes up. Miss a day and it starts again at one, unless you have a freeze in hand: you earn one every seven days. Rungs at 30, 60 and 100 days.
Day 30: the spotlight
Hold a 30-day streak and you can put a set of yours forward for Flapfit's Home screen, where every player sees it, one player at a time. Only if you choose to, and only after a person has watched it.
The camera stays
on your phone.
Read on the device
Pose detection runs on your phone, not on a server. No live video is streamed anywhere, and the games work with no signal at all.
Your clips are yours
A set can be saved as a video on your phone. It leaves only if you share it, or put it forward to be featured.

Questions
Is there a push-up game that uses the phone camera?
Yes. In Flappy, the first of Flapfit's five games, each push-up flaps a bird through the pillars. Prop your phone on the floor in front of you and the front camera follows your body. There is nothing to wear and nothing to tap. How the push-up game works.
How does Flapfit count reps with the camera?
A pose model runs on your phone and finds your shoulders, elbows, hips and knees in every frame. A rep counts when you go all the way down and all the way back up. The count is the game: the bird only moves when a rep counts.
Does a half push-up count?
No. Stop short at the bottom or the top and nothing happens, and the pillar keeps coming.
Which exercises can I do with Flapfit?
Five, one per game: push-ups (Flappy), shoulder taps (Swerve), squats (Limbo), a wall sit (Avalanche) and high knees (Pulse).
Do I need any equipment?
No. No weights, no mat, no watch, no straps. A phone propped against a wall or lying on the floor is the whole kit.
Is Flapfit free?
Yes, to start. The first game you finish is yours for one set a day, every day, for good. Flapfit Pro, which opens all five games, is not on sale yet.
Which Android phones does Flapfit run on?
Android 7.0 or newer, with a front camera. Faster phones track you more smoothly.
Is Flapfit on iPhone?
Not yet. Android is first; iPhone follows. Join the waitlist and founding members get Flapfit Pro at a discount.
Is my camera video uploaded anywhere?
No. Pose detection runs on the phone, and no live video is streamed anywhere. A set can be saved as a video on your phone; it leaves only if you share it or put it forward to be featured.
Does Flapfit work offline?
Yes. The camera is read on the phone, so a set on a train or in a hotel room is the same set.
How much room do I need?
For push-ups and shoulder taps, the floor space of a mat. For squats, wall sits and high knees, enough to step back from the phone so your whole body is in the picture.
How long is a workout?
A set takes a couple of minutes and lasts until the game beats you. One set a day keeps your streak going.
